The pen dries,

Irrepressible memory flows

Mind's pages filled.

Dumb, fused minds

Lectures switch on

Lights burn bright.

Retirement,

The sea withdraws

and waves cry.

A new day,

Wind of words blew in

Flowers bloomed.

Farewell party,

Forlorn flowers

As the best falls off the bouquet.
